Bali Ceremonial Retreats

Preparation, ceremony and integration held as one arc, rather than a single evening with nothing either side of it.

In short

A ceremonial retreat is built around a small number of held sessions, with the days before and after treated as part of the work rather than as travel time.

  • Preparation days before the ceremony
  • Integration days after it
  • Small groups, screened in advance

What it involves

The three parts

Skip any one of them and the retreat is an event rather than a process.

Preparation

Diet, rest and intention-setting in the days beforehand.

Ceremony

Held by facilitators who screen participants first.

Integration

Structured sessions afterwards, plus follow-up once you are home.

What is and is not on offer

Indonesia classifies classic psychedelics as narcotics, and reputable Balinese retreats do not advertise them. Ceremony here means Balinese ritual, sound, breath and plant preparations that are legal.

If a retreat is vague about what is actually administered, that vagueness is the answer.
