Where the retreats are

Bali's retreats cluster in three areas, and they are genuinely different places. Which one suits you matters more than the brochure.

Ubud

The spiritual centre: lush landscape, dense culture, and the island's deepest concentration of yoga and meditation retreats. Roughly ninety minutes from the airport.

Canggu

Traditional Balinese architecture with modern amenities and a surf-town rhythm. Retreats here lean toward relaxation and recovery rather than intensity.

Uluwatu

Cliffside retreats with long ocean views, pairing holistic practice with the most dramatic setting on the island.

How it goes

What to expect

Four stages, from the first message to the weeks after you fly home.

  1. Consultation

We start with a wellness conversation — what you are looking for, your budget, and anything health-related that shapes what is suitable.

  2. Arrival & transfer

Most reputable retreats arrange transfer from Ngurah Rai International Airport. We confirm it before every trip rather than assuming it is included.

  3. Daily practice

Days usually open with yoga or meditation, then guided sessions, holistic therapies, nutritious food and free time to reflect.

  4. Integration

The part most often skipped. Follow-up sessions and resources so what surfaced during the retreat has somewhere to go.

Cost moves with the season, the room and how much of the programme is one to one, so we quote per trip rather than publish a figure. Ask, and you get a real one for your dates.

Balinese healing traditions

Many retreats weave local ritual and energy work into their programmes — practices passed down through generations and treated as tools for self-discovery rather than as spectacle.

Energy work

Sound healing, chakra balancing and reiki, aimed at restoring balance between body, mind and spirit.

Ritual & ceremony

Local ceremony and palm reading, framed as self-discovery tools and led by practitioners from the community they belong to.
